PJBumi says unaware of reason behind UMA


KUALA LUMPUR: PJBumi Bhd said it is unaware of any development that could have led to the unusual market activity (UMA) in its shares, following a query from Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd.

The engineering and construction services group tumbled 75 sen, or 29.8%, to RM1.77, with 683,800 shares changing hands.

In a filing with the exchange, PJBumi said that after making due enquiry with its board members, it was not aware of any corporate development, negotiation, or discussion that has not been previously announced which might account for the recent trading activity.

“The Board is not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity,” it said.
