SkyGate Solutions to sell Bayan Lepas factory for RM39.8mil


KUALA LUMPUR: SkyGate Solutions Bhd’s subsidiary, SkyGate Integration Sdn Bhd has entered into a conditional sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Ambu Sdn Bhd to dispose of its factory building in Bayan Lepas, Penang for RM39.8mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, SkyGate Solutions said the leasehold property, which expires on March 3, 2042, is approximately 54 years old.

It was purchased in 2017 for RM15.2mil and has a net book value of RM19mil as at Dec 31, 2024.

The purchaser, Ambu, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ambu A/S, a Danish medical technology company listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen.

“The proposed disposal will generate capital to reinvest in high-growth projects, strategically positioning the group for enhanced profitability,” SkyGate Solutions said.
