KUALA LUMPUR: Sin-Kung Airways Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of air cargo transport specialist Sin-Kung Logistics Bhd, has entered into a series of service agreements with Pos Malaysia Bhd
's aviation subsidiaries to bolster its operational capabilities ahead of its commercial rollout in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The agreements, signed with Pos Aviation Sdn Bhd and Pos Aviation Engineering Services Sdn Bhd (PAES), encompass ground handling, inflight catering and aircraft engineering services for Sin-Kung Airways’ expanding operations across Malaysia.
Sin-Kung Airways focuses on air cargo charter operations using a fleet of Boeing 737-400F aircraft.
Pos Aviation, a subsidiary of Pos Malaysia, provides ground handling and inflight catering services through its subsidiary PAES, serving both domestic and international carriers nationwide.
Under the collaboration, Pos Aviation will provide ground handling services for Sin-Kung Airways and Sin-Kung Logistics at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Penang International Airport, covering terminal operations, cargo acceptance and delivery, truck handling and manifest processing.
To support Sin-Kung Airways’ charter operations, it will also provide inflight catering and ground meal logistics using its halal-certified catering facilities to ensure service consistency and quality.
Meanwhile, PAES will deliver line maintenance and engineering support for Sin-Kung Airways’ aircraft fleet at Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching and Langkawi airports.
The scope includes scheduled inspections, defect ratifications and technical assistance in compliance with Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (“CAAM”) and International Air Transport Association (IATA”) standards.
Managing director of Sin-Kung Logistics Alan Ong said the partnerships form part of the airline’s broader strategy to establish a robust operational framework to support its upcoming service rollout.
“Working with Pos Aviation and PAES allows us to leverage their nationwide infrastructure and technical expertise to ensure our operations meet international standards of safety, quality and reliability,” he said.
He added that the agreements also strengthen the group’s logistics integration through Sin-Kung Logistics, enhancing cargo visibility and turnaround efficiency at KLIA and Penang.
