NexG secures additional deal from RTD

PETALING JAYA: NexG Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Datasonic Technologies Sdn Bhd (DTSB), has received and accepted a letter of additional scope from the Road Transport Department of Malaysia (RTD) worth RM12.18mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the additional scope, dated Sept 22, 2025, covers the supply of consumables for surplus driving licence cards over a 26-month period from Sept 1, 2025, to Oct 31, 2027.

This follows an earlier contract awarded to DTSB in October 2024 for the supply and printing of special category driving licence cards to RTD, valued at RM21.52mil for 36 months starting Nov 1, 2024.

NexG said the latest award further strengthens its collaboration with RTD and is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial years ending March 31, 2026, to March 31, 2028.

Following the latest award, the overall contract value now stands at RM33.7mil, up from the original contract value of RM21.52mil.
