Mesiniaga secures RM17.86mil contract extension from Malaysian Customs

PETALING JAYA: Mesiniaga Bhd has secured a contract extension worth RM17.86mil from the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD) in relation to the provision of the MYGST system maintenance services and license renewal.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Mesiniaga said the contract extension is for 12 months effective from Oct 16, 2025 and will be completed by Oct 15, 2026.

“There is no automatic renewal clause in the contract,” it said.

Mesiniaga said the contract extension will not affect the share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholdings of the company.

“However, it is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025 onwards until the completion of the contract.

Mesiniaga bagged the contract from RMCD (worth RM38.1mil) in November 2023.

“The board of directors of the company is of the opinion that the said contract is in the ordinary course of business and is in the best interest of the company,” it said.
