Pekat unit inks RM85.68mil LSSPV plant job in Kulai


KUALA LUMPUR: Pekat Group Bhd said its wholly-owned subsidiary Pekat Solar Sdn Bhd has finalised an engineering, procurement and construction contract with a company in relation to a 63MWac large scale solar photovoltaic energy generating facility in Kulai, Johor.

It said in a statement the contract, valued at RM85.68mil, involves the full engineering, procurement and construction scope of works, including design, supply, engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the facility.

The contract period shall commence on the date the main contractor issues the notice to proceed, while the job is expected to be completed by the date of take over on May 31, 2026.

The contract secured is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings, earnings per share and net assets per share of Pekat and its subsidiaries for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2025, until the expiry of the contract.
