Sungei Bagan appoints new managing director


PETALING JAYA: Sungei Bagan Rubber Co (Malaya) Bhd has appointed Colflesh Khoon Liat Robert, 39, as managing director.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the plantation firm said Colflesh, a Singapore national, has 20 years of professional experience in public service, holding various command and staff appointments in the military.

“He was responsible for the operational command of personnel to organise stewardship of resources and strategic planning.”

He also holds directorships in Kluang Rubber Co (Malaya) Bhd and Kuchai Development Bhd.

The principal activities of the company consist of the production and sale of fresh oil palm fruit bunches in Kelantan. The company is also a long-term investor in securities.

It is the second-largest shareholder in Singapore Exchange-listed insurer Great Eastern Holdings Ltd.
