EBP 7 and NS Corp complete land acquisition

PETALING JAYA: Eco Business Park 7 Sdn Bhd (EBP 7), a special-purpose vehicle representing Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia), SD Guthrie Bhd, and NS Corp, have completed the acquisition of 1,195 acres freehold land in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan from SD Guthrie.

In a statement, SD Guthrie said the sale and purchase agreement was signed on April 18 for a total cash consideration of RM572.76mil.

“With this milestone met, EBP 7 is on track to develop an integrated industrial park with supporting commercial hubs located within parcel C of Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0), the primary economic corridor on the west coast of Peninsular Malaysia.

“Eco World Project Management Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EcoWorld Malaysia, has been appointed the development manager of the project.”

With its strategic position within MVV 2.0, SD Guthrie said the new industrial park carried an estimated gross development value of RM2.95bil and forms part of a larger initiative to advance sustainable development in Negri Sembilan.

“It will offer access to the proposed Nilai-Labu Expressway that will connect the area to key infrastructure and logistic hubs such as the Kuala Lumpur International Airport, Port Klang, Nilai and the wider west coast corridor via the PLUS Highway.”
