MPKL, NCT Group showcase NCT Smart Industrial Park at Tomorrow City Shanghai 2025

KUALA LUMPUR: NCT Group of Companies, together with the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL), showcased the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP), Malaysia’s first certified Managed Industrial Park, as a flagship model of the nation’s smart city vision at the Tomorrow City Shanghai 2025 Conference.

In a statement, NCT Group said that as part of Malaysia’s national delegation, it joined MPKL in presenting NSIP to a global audience of policymakers, industry players and investors.

The showcase highlighted NSIP’s role in driving Malaysia’s next phase of urban-industrial transformation by building a future-ready ecosystem that integrates ESG principles, smart infrastructure and Industry 4.0 applications.

“We are truly honoured and proud that NSIP was selected by MPKL to be presented at Tomorrow City Shanghai 2025. This recognition affirms our shared ambition to drive Malaysia’s industrial and urban transformation onto the global stage.

“NSIP is only the beginning for us. We are steadfast in our mission to shape the next generation of smart, green and innovative industrial ecosystems with future projects like NCT Innosphere in Kedah advancing this vision. Every milestone we achieve forms part of our long-term goal to strengthen Malaysia’s position in the global smart city landscape,” NCT Group founder and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy.

MPKL president Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd said the council’s participation reflects Malaysia’s commitment to advancing smart city developments.

“By showcasing pioneering projects like NSIP, we are highlighting not only the achievements of Kuala Langat but also the nation’s readiness to embrace innovation, sustainability, and global partnerships, paving the way for Malaysia’s growth and evolution into a future-ready hub where cutting-edge urban solutions and industrial growth converge.”

Located in the heart of the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (IDRISS), NSIP is positioning itself as a benchmark for smart, sustainable and investment-ready industrial development in Asean.

With its focus on advanced technologies and sustainable practices, NSIP aims to drive Malaysia’s smart city agenda while supporting broader regional economic transformation.
