ADE secures two major long-term agreements with Air France and AFI KLM E&M

KUALA LUMPUR: Asia Digital Engineering Sdn Bhd (ADE) has secured two major long-term agreements with Air France and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M).

ADE, the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) subsidiary of Capital A, will provide Air France with heavy maintenance and aircraft modification services.

ADE chief executive officer Mahesh Kumar said the company will commence heavy maintenance checks on Air France's Airbus A330-200 fleet with the first induction scheduled for October 2025, followed by additional checks on a phased basis.

"As of now, we are looking at one aircraft per quarter. It will start with this quarter, the first aircraft. It will continue until the first quarter of 2027.

"It is wide-body. It will start with five aircraft first, and then it will keep adding based on the slots," he said after the signing ceremony between Mahesh Kumar and Air France Industries executive vice-president Gery Mortreux.

The document exchange was witnessed by Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz and the French ambassador to Malaysia Axel Cruau.

ADE also signed a long-term component agreement with major multi-product MRO provider, AFI KLM E&M, to maintain AirAsia Group's new A321neo fleet.

"This partnership with Air France marks a historic milestone not only for ADE but also for Malaysia and the wider ASEAN aerospace industry. Being entrusted with their aircraft maintenance is a strong testament to the capabilities and competitiveness of our region's MRO services.

"We are proud to strengthen Malaysia's position as a hub for aerospace excellence while supporting Air France's continued operational reliability," said Mahesh.

Meanwhile, Mortreux said as Air France expands its network and modernises operations, ADE's expertise ensures efficient, world-class maintenance that minimises downtime and maximises performance.

"We are also thrilled to extend our partnership with ADE and the AirAsia Group to support their new A321neo fleet.

"This long-term agreement underscores our commitment to provide world-class component support and tailored solutions to meet the growing demands," he said. - Bernama
