Hextar Global sells Raub land for RM14mil

PETALING JAYA: Hextar Global Bhd is disposing of three pieces of freehold agricultural land measuring 10ha in Raub, Pahang to Chateau MSK Sdn Bhd for RM13.75mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Hextar, which specialises in the import and distribution of agrochemical and fertiliser products, said the land parcels were utilised mainly for durian plantation.

It said the yield from the durian plantation has been below its expectations and is not commercially viable in the long term.

“The proposed disposal provides an opportunity to realise a favourable return, as the purchaser has offered an attractive price for the land.

“The group has decided to focus on operating the durian collection centres, where various sellers can supply durians.”

Hextar said it will concentrate its business strategy on the sorting and processing of durians into pulp, paste and frozen products for export.
