KUALA LUMPUR: Negeri Sembilan Export Day 2025 marks the conclusion of the state-level Export Day series for 2025, drawing over 160 entrepreneurs and local industry players, demonstrating the government’s commitment to strengthening the state’s export agenda.
The Negeri Sembilan Export Day 2025 programme, held from Sept 2 to 3 at the Royale Chulan
Hotel, Seremban, was jointly organised by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) and the Negeri Sembilan state government through the State Economic Planning Unit (Upen), with the support of strategic partners Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd, VISA, and EXIM Bank Malaysia.
This marks the first time Export Day was held in Negeri Sembilan, making it the fourth location for 2025 after Perak, Sarawak, and Selangor. The opening ceremony was officiated by the state’s Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
Matrade board member Datuk Mohammad Medan Abdullah, and deputy chief executive officer Mansor Shah Wahid were also present at the event.
Aminuddin said: “The inaugural Negeri Sembilan Export Day is an excellent platform for us to step further onto the global stage. The state government is determined to empower local entrepreneurs so that Negeri Sembilan’s products can be recognised and compete internationally.”
“The Negeri Sembilan state government will always remain committed to supporting local companies so that they continue to grow and become internationally preferred. Export Day stands as proof of the strong support behind that aspiration.
“Our hope is that Negeri Sembilan Export Day will spark the emergence of more new exporters, ultimately positioning Negeri Sembilan as a respected export hub,” he added.
Mohammad Medan pointed out that from 2024 until July 2025, a total of 200 Negeri Sembilan companies have benefited from Matrade’s exporter development and trade facilitation programmes.
“Grants amounting to RM1.5mil have been channelled to Negeri Sembilan companies, helping them generate export sales of RM672.18mil,” he added.
As of 31 July 2025, a total of 13,314 Malaysian companies have registered with Matrade, of which 315 are from Negeri Sembilan.
Mansor stated that the Negeri Sembilan Export Day serves as a strategic platform to nurture more exporting entrepreneurs while raising awareness, knowledge, and potential for export markets among local businesses, particularly micro, small and medium enterprises.
“Throughout the programme, participants of Negeri Sembilan Export Day are exposed to a variety of export-related topics,” he said.
Additionally, information counters from ministries and government agencies, financial institutions, and other stakeholders involved in Malaysia’s export ecosystem were set up to provide direct information, advisory services, and support to participants interested in exploring international markets.
Matrade remains committed to guiding all companies in Negeri Sembilan to enhance their export knowledge, ultimately assisting them in venturing into international markets.
