US Treasuries cement monthly advance as inflation gauge stabilises

WASHINGTON: US Treasuries preserved a monthly gain in anticipation of US Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate cuts after the central bank’s preferred gauge of inflation matched economist estimates.

Yields were mixed across tenors following last Friday’s release of July personal income and spending data.
