Gamuda Engineering scores RM2.14bil contract for EcoWorld hyperscale data centre project


KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd's wholly-owned subsidiary Gamuda Engineering Sdn Bhd has secured a RM2.14bil contract from Quantum Alpha Sdn Bhd, a unit of Eco World Development Group Bhd, for the construction of hyperscale data centres in Eco Business Park V, Selangor.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the project entails the construction, completion, testing and commissioning of the shell and core of two data centre blocks, a consumer substation and a water reservoir including associated infrastructures and ancillary facilities.

The project will commence in 3Q25 and is expected to be completed in 3Q27.

It is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of Gamuda for the financial year ending July 31, 2026 onwards until the completion of the project
