Malaysia records RM3.29bil approved investments in AI for January-June

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has successfully drawn approved investments totalling RM3.29 billion for the artificial intelligence (AI) sector under the Digital Malaysia initiative for the period from January to June this year, with the potential to create approximately 6,920 job opportunities.

Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the achievement showed investor confidence in Malaysia’s potential as a regional AI hub, thus strengthening the country’s position in the global digital ecosystem.
