Classita appoints ex-IGP Razarudin Husain as new chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: Classita Holdings Bhd has appointed Tan Sri Razarudin Husain, former Inspector-General of Police as its non-executive chairman, effective immediately.

In a statement, Classita said Razarudin’s appointment marks a significant step in the company’s commitment to public-interest aligned development and stronger governance as it enters a new phase of growth.

This leadership transition coincides with the emergence of NexG Bhd as a substantial shareholder of Classita, following its recent acquisition of a 32.61% equity stake in the company.

Classita has also proposed a name change to “Nexg Bina Bhd”, subject to shareholder approval, to reflect its evolving role as a full-fledged national construction and development platform together with NexG Group.
