Theta Edge unit in JV with CSE Telematics


PETALING JAYA: Theta Mobility Sdn Bhd, a full subsidiary of Theta Edge Bhd has entered into a joint venture cum shareholders’ agreement with CSE Telematics Sdn Bhd to establish a special purpose vehicle (JVCo).

Under the agreement, Theta Mobility will hold 51% of the JVCo, while CSE Telematics will hold 49%.

The JVCo aimed to develop and commercialise “integrated technological solutions”, particularly a connected vehicle safety platform called “eCall”.

The system includes software and digital tools designed to detect vehicular accidents, initiate emergency communications, and transmit critical data to response centres.

Theta Mobility will lead the go-to-market strategy, while CSE Telematics will ensure product readiness and provide technical support. CSE will grant the JVCo rights to use its base eCall system in exchange for a 10% royalty.
