Hitachi Rail said its involvement in the project would bring innovation to Taipei’s urban transit network.

, the main contractor for the New Taipei City government’s Department of Rapid Transit Systems, has awarded Hitachi Rail Ltd a contract to deliver its Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC) system.
The contract also includes the delivery of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition solutions for the Xizhi-Donghu (Xidong)-Nangang-Badu (Keelung) mass rapid transit project, which connects New Taipei City and Keelung City in Taiwan.
