Shareholders reaffirm loyalty to LuMIC

PETALING JAYA: The Perak State Development Corp (PSDC) and Port of Antwerp-Bruges International (PoABI) have reaffirmed their commitment to the strategic development of the Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC).

PSDC and Pabi, which are its shareholders, want to position LuMIC as a globally competitive maritime industrial development area in South-East Asia.

Both shareholders said in a statement they had earlier met in Belgium to review progress and chart the next phase of implementation.

This joint effort has laid the groundwork for LuMIC to evolve into a premier deep-sea industrial city designed with sustainability, resilience and regional competitiveness at its core and aligned with the European Union – Asean Global Gateway strategy, it said.
