SCIB announces board reshuffle, appoints Chong Loong Men as executive chairman

PETALING JAYA: Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) has announced a reshuffling of its board of directors to reinforce corporate governance, enhance leadership depth and support the company’s strategic growth initiatives.

In a statement, the industrialised building systems specialist announced the resignations of chairman Datuk Seri Zaini Jass and directors Kang Wei Luen, Ooi Hoot Kuang and Ng Cheng Shin.

“SCIB expresses its sincere gratitude to these directors for their valuable contributions and dedicated service during their tenure.”

Meanwhile, Datuk Chong Loong Men has been appointed as the new executive chairman of SCIB.

“Chong brings extensive legal and regulatory experience, having begun his career as a deputy public prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Chambers before transitioning to private practice.

“He co-founded prominent legal firms and has served on the boards of several public-listed companies, bringing valuable insights into corporate governance and regulatory matters.”

SCIB also appointed Tan Li Peng and Leow Wey Seng as its directors.
