Econpile unit accepts RM42.82mil job for Penang LRT project


KUALA LUMPUR: Econpile Holdings Bhd said its subsidiary Econpile (M) Sdn Bhd has accepted a contract from Irama Duta Sdn Bhd to undertake bored piling construction and other associated works from East Jelutong to Gelugor for a light rail transit (LRT) project for RM42.82mil.

In a statement, the group said the project comes under Sub-Package BP06 for Projek Rapid Transit Aliran Ringan (LRT) Pulau Pinang – Laluan Mutiara (MTL) – Package CMC1.

The project commences on Aug 1, 2025, and has a practical completion date of Oct 31, 2027.

The project is expected to contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the Company from the financial year ending June 30, 2026, onward.
