Honda Malaysia appoints Narushi Yazaki as new MD and CEO

KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has appointed Narushi Yazaki as its new managing director and chief executive officer, effective April 1, 2025, succeeding Hironobu Yoshimura, who led the company for the past three years.

In a statement today, Honda Malaysia said Yazaki brings over 25 years of extensive experience with Honda, having held key leadership roles in several countries, including Japan, Thailand, and the United States.

"Before assuming his current position in Honda Malaysia, Yazaki was attached to corporate administration operations at Honda Motor Co Ltd, Tokyo, Japan,” the company said.

Yazaki expressed his honour in taking on this responsibility at Honda Malaysia, which he described as a market with strong growth and notable contributions to the Honda brand in the Asia and Oceania region.

"I aim to build on the strong foundation laid by my predecessors and continue driving Honda Malaysia's growth and success in this thriving market,” he said.

Honda Malaysia also announced that Yoshimura has assumed a new role at Honda’s Tokyo headquarters, effective April 1, 2025.

"Yoshimura played a key role in maintaining Honda Malaysia's leading position in the non-national passenger vehicle segment for 11 consecutive years and successfully navigated the company through a challenging post-pandemic environment.

"Honda Malaysia extends its gratitude to Yoshimura for his dedication and leadership, which have been instrumental in the company’s continued success,” the company added. - Bernama
