KUALA LUMPUR: TDM Bhd
's sub-subsidiary KMI Bertam Medical Centre Sdn Bhd has inked a build-and-lease deal with Bertam Specialist Hospital Sdn Bhd (BSHSB), which entails the development of a specialist hospital building on land owned by BSHB.
In a filing with Bursa Malayisa, TDM said the gross development cost of the proposed project is RM146mil, which will be borne by BSHSB.
The proposed project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028.
The lease shall run for a period of 18 months from the handover date of the specialist hospital building, whereupon KMI Bertam will enjoy a six-month rent-free period.
Under the terms of the deal, BSHSB will grant KMI Bertam an option to purchase the premises as well as the first right of refusal to purchase the property in the event BSHSB wishes to sell it to a third party.
