MNRB appoints Sulaiman Mohd Tahir as chairman

KUALA LUMPUR: MNRB Holdings Bhd has appointed Datuk Sulaiman Mohd Tahir as its new non-independent and non-executive chairman effective Feb 14, 2025.

In a statement, MNRB said Sulaiman succeeded Datuk Johar Che Mat, who resigned as chairman of MNRB and Malaysian Reinsurance Bhd (Malaysian Re) effective Feb 12, 2025.

Sulaiman will also assume the role of non-independent and non-executive chairman of Malaysian Re, effective Feb 14.

With over 30 years of experience in Malaysia’s financial sector, Sulaiman brings extensive expertise to his new role. He has held prominent leadership positions, including chairman of Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd and group chief executive officer of AmBank Group.
