Bursa suspends YBS' short-selling, issues UMA query

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia has suspended intraday short-selling (IDSS) for YBS International Bhd until next Monday, Feb 17, at 8.30 am due to breaches in price limit.

YBS’ share price dropped sharply by 22.73 per cent or 17.5 sen to 59.5 sen at 10.30 am today.

The opening price is 76.5 sen.

The exchange said in a filing today that the suspension was triggered after the stock dropped by more than 15 per cent from the reference price.

In a separate statement, the exchange issued an unusual market activity (UMA) query on the stock’s sharp price fall.

The local bourse advised investors to take note of the company’s reply to the UMA query, which will be posted on Bursa Malaysia’s website under company announcements at http://www.bursamalaysia.com/market/listed-companies/company-announcements/ when making their investment decisions.
