Green Packet wins digital lending licence

KUALA LUMPUR: Green Packet Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Packet Interactive Sdn Bhd, has secured a digital lending licence from the Housing and Local Government Ministry.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the global technology company said the validity period for the licence is from Aug 15, 2024, to Aug 14, 2026.

“This digital lending licence will enable Packet Interactive to further expand its suite of financial products and services.

“Given the rising demand for flexible funding options in the digital economy, Packet Interactive is well-positioned to play an impactful role in providing innovative access to lending options tailored for small and medium enterprises,” it said.

Apart from enhancing financial inclusions, Packet Interactive is focused on contributing to economic growth and sustainability in Malaysia. — Bernama
