Green Packet's unit secures digital lending licence


KUALA LUMPUR: Green Packet Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Packet Interactive Sdn Bhd has secured a digital lending license from the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT).

In a Bursa Malaysia filing today, the global technology company said that the validity period for the licence is from Aug 15, 2024, to Aug 14, 2026.

"This digital lending license will enable Packet Interactive to further expand its suite of financial products and services for various client needs.

"Given the rising demand for flexible funding options in the digital economy, Packet Interactive is well-positioned to play an impactful role in providing innovative access to lending options tailored for small and medium enterprises,” it said.

It said that apart from enhancing financial inclusions, Packet Interactive is focused on contributing to economic growth and sustainability in Malaysia.

"While ensuring easy access to funds for the businesses, Packet Interactive is also looking forward to supporting entrepreneurship and job creation,” it added. - Bernama
