KUALA LUMPUR: AmBank Group has concluded its AmBank BizRACE Season 4, selecting three winners from 1,000 companies.

The champion of AmBank BizRACE Season 4 is Sydney Cake House Sdn Bhd, with Diverse Integrated Sdn Bhd securing the position of first runner-up and BloomThis Flora Sdn Bhd taking second runner-up.

AmBank, in a statement, said Sydney Cake House demonstrated a pioneering spirit and an exceptional commitment to embracing Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.

The company impressed the judges with its progress in adopting IR4.0 innovations, building on efforts initiated in 2014. During the competition, it showcased the implementation of digital inventory management, smart factory systems, and a waste heat recovery system, reducing wastage by over 70%.

Meanwhile, Diverse Integrated was recognised for its innovative approach to developing sustainable wood solutions for the construction industry.

The company has embraced IR4.0 and ESG by adopting electric vehicle (EV) forklifts, harnessing solar energy, and implementing sustainable waste management practices, with a target of reducing carbon emissions by 30% by 2030.

BloomThis was recognised for using AI data analytics, Internet of Things (IoT), and visualisation tools to improve its e-commerce operations.

As part of its sustainability efforts, the company also installed solar panels at its warehouse. These initiatives have led to significant financial growth, with profits increasing fivefold over the past four years.

AmBank Group managing director of business banking Christopher Yap said the top three winners represented the pinnacle of innovation and progress.

“Throughout this season, we witnessed incredible passion, growth potential and scalability from many of our participants, demonstrating their readiness to adopt IR4.0 and ESG principles.

“By working closely with our programme partners, we intend to continue to design impactful programmes to empower businesses. We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our winners and hope to inspire other manufacturers to pursue innovation and sustainable growth.”
