IJM Land breaks ground on new London hotel


PETALING JAYA: IJM Land Bhd the property division of IJM Corp Bhd, through its UK subsidiary RMS (England) Ltd, is developing the second and final phase of Royal Mint Gardens and has leased part of the site to Staycity Group, one of Europe’s leading “aparthotel” operators, for a flagship of its Wilde brand.

Located near and overlooking the iconic Tower Bridge, the project builds on the success of the first phase of Royal Mint Gardens, completed in 2019, said IJM Land in a statement.

“The aparthotel will span 15 floors, offering 463 fully equipped rooms designed for both short and extended stays.

“Guests will also enjoy a rooftop bar with panoramic views of London and dining options accessible to residents and the public.”

IJM Land said the 30-year lease underscores Staycity Group’s long-term commitment to providing high-quality hospitality in London’s vibrant city centre.
