Uzma wins PETRONAS contract

PETALING JAYA: Uzma Bhd has accepted an award from Petroliam Nasional Bhd or PETRONAS for the provision of Pan Malaysia integrated well continuity services.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Uzma said the award was secured via its subsidiaries, Uzma Engineering Sdn Bhd and Setegap Ventures Petroleum Sdn Bhd.

“The scope of works comprises three main packages, which are integrated well intervention, integrated workover for production enhancement, and abandonment and hydraulic workover unit.

“The appointment is effective on Oct 10, 2024 and will remain valid for five years until Oct 9, 2029,” it said.

Uzma said the appointment will not have any effect on its share capital and shareholding structure, as it does not involve the issuance of ordinary shares in the company.
