Bintai Kinden bags RM61mil construction job

PETALING JAYA: Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd has accepted an award amounting to RM61.22mil for the role of a main contractor for the construction of a housing project in Jasin, Melaka.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the company said the scope of works of the contract, which is turnkey in nature, includes execution, construction and completion of the underpinning, structural works, mechanical and electrical services works and infrastructure work on a design and build basis.

“The contract stipulates that the handover of the project shall be on or before Nov 4, 2027, which entails 12 months for the designing, submission and approval from the necessary authorities, 18 months for construction and six months to obtain the certificate of completion and compliance.

“The contract will contribute positively to the earnings of the Bintai group over the next four financial years.”
