Prices to maintain recovery in fourth quarter

BEIJING: China’s overall price levels are expected to sustain a mild recovery in the fourth quarter of the year, as the country continues to carry out proactive fiscal policies and smoothen domestic economic circulation, according to experts.

Their remarks came after the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday China’s consumer price index, the main gauge of inflation, rose by 0.6% year-on-year (y-o-y) in August, up 0.1 percentage point from July.
