WCT bags RM214mil construction contract


PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd has accepted a letter of award issued by Kwasa Land Sdn Bhd for infrastructure works at the Kwasa Damansara Township Development, Selangor, worth RM214mil.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, WCT said the contract pertains to the proposed construction and completion of common infrastructure works (Phase 1) and new vehicular underpass at the Kwasa Damansara Township Development.

“The works under the contract encompasses, amongst others, site clearance, demolition works, earthworks, geotechnical works, road works, bridge structure, vehicular underpass structure, drainage works, water reticulation, sewerage works, mechanical and electrical works, river improvement and routine maintenance works.”

“The works under the contract are expected to be completed within 30 months from Aug 1, the date of possession.”

WCT said none if its directors or major shareholders or persons connected with them have any interest, direct or indirect, in the award of the contract.
