Awanbiru wins RM26mil govt contract


PETALING JAYA: Awanbiru Technology Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Awantec Systems Sdn Bhd (ASSB), has secured a RM25.7mil contract from the Education Ministry (MOE).

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia yesterday, Awantec stated the contract is for 36 months commencing on July 9, 2024.

Under the award, ASSB will provide cloud-based solutions such as Google Workspace for education and Google Cloud Platform to all schools under MOE.

Awantec added the MOE had issued the letter of award to ASSB on July 1 and ASSB had accepted it on July 4. The formalisation of the agreement between MOE and ASSB is currently underway.
