Sapura Energy appoints interim chairman in light of chairman's absence

KUALA LUMPUR: Sapura Energy Bhd has appointed Shahin Farouque Jammal Ahmad, a non-independent non-executive director in the company, as its interim chairman.

This comes after the company said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia it had granted its chairman, Datuk Mohamad Azlan Abdullah, a leave of absence, effective June 26, 2024, following an ongoing investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
