Fire incident at Hextar Healthcare's Bercham factory


KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Healthcare Bhd has announced that a fire broke out at its factory in Bercham industrial area in Ipoh on June 18, 2024 (Tuesday).

It said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia the affected operations are in relation to two household/industrial glove production lines.

There were no casualties from the incident.

It said the management has also lodged a report with the police and the insurance company on the occurrence.

"The group has in place adequate insurance on its assets and consequential business losses.

"At this juncture, the Company has yet to ascertain the full financial and operational impact due to the damage by the fire," it added.

The board said it would make a further announcement on the actual losses upon completion of the investigation and assessment by the company’s internal team, insurance company and the authorities concerned.
