HSS Engineers bags RM21mil water treatment plant project


PETALING JAYA: HSS Engineers Bhd’s associate, SMHB Sdn Bhd, has agreed to conduct engineering consultancy services for the phase one construction project of the Sungai Karangan water treatment plant in Kulim, Kedah, with an estimated service value of RM20.86mil.

HSS Engineers said the contract, set to commence in June 2024 with an expected completion date of June 2027, will see SMHB conducting a detailed study, detailed engineering investigation, detailed design, tender preparation and supervision during the construction of the water treatment plant.

The work also includes monitoring and advising on remedial works during the defect liability period, with no specific dates revealed, it added in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The engineering consultancy firm said the funding for the services is expected to be sourced from internally generated funds and/or external borrowings.
