MPay wins Mastercard contract

PETALING JAYA: Managepay Systems Bhd (MPay), via its wholly-owned unit ManagePay Services Sdn Bhd (MPSB), has bagged an incentive contract worth US$3.65mil from Mastercard Asia/Pacific Pte Ltd (MAPPL) for a sign-on bonus, product launch, data and services and marketing support.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, MPay said the 10-year contract aims to acquire the necessary technology and deploy marketing campaigns to enhance and enrich the MPay’s Mastercard prepaid card issuing capabilities.

MPay said volume support will also be provided to MPSB once it achieves 50% or above of both the domestic and international Mastercard Processed Retail Volume Target for the relevant year during the tenure. MPSB will launch the card programme within nine months from the signing of the deal.
