DXN appoints Prajith Pavithran as CEO effective June 1

KUALA LUMPUR: DXN Holdings Bhd has appointed Prajith Pavithran as the new chief executive officer (CEO), effective June 1, 2024.

Prajith, 45, succeeds Teoh Hang Ching, who is now transitioning from CEO and executive director, to focus exclusively on leading DXN Group’s expansion into China.

He started his career at DXN in 2001 as a sales and training executive and his rapid progression had led him through various leadership roles within the group.

He oversaw operations in key markets such as India, the Philippines, and Mexico, before being appointed regional manager for Latin America in 2010. In this role, he spearheaded DXN’s market expansion efforts and strengthened the group’s regional presence.

Most recently, he served as chief marketing officer from May 2022, up until his new appointment as the CEO.

“Prajith's appointment reflects DXN's strategic shift towards leadership infused with fresh energy and perspectives. His extensive experience and proven track record of driving growth in DXN's core markets makes him the ideal candidate to lead the group forward. His deep understanding of these key markets will be invaluable in navigating the evolving business landscape and ensuring DXN Group's long-term success,” executive chairman and founder Datuk Lim Siow Jin said in a statement.
