Menang inks agreement to develop wellness park

KUALA LUMPUR: Menang Corp Bhd is exploring a collaboration with Alpro Alliance Sdn Bhd to develop a health and wellness park in Menang Park, Seremban 3, in Negeri Sembilan.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the parties would jointly develop 25.8 acres or any other commercially desirable acreage of Alpro's land into a health and wellness park.

Under the terms of the agreement, Alpro, which is principally involved in pharmaceutical products, will support facilities on the development including an ambulatory care centre, fertility centre, maternity and confinement centre, postpartum care centre, assisted senior living centre and rehabilitation facilities.

Alpro would also be responsible for incorporating leisure facilities, adventure trails and flora and fauna within the development.

According to Menang, the proposed collaboration is part of the company’s strategic expansion into the healthcare industry, aiming to diversify its business activities.
