Al Rajhi Bank Malaysia appoints Mohd Syahrul Ishak as new CEO


KUALA LUMPUR: Al Rajhi Banking & Investment Corporation (Malaysia) Bhd has appointed Mohd Syahrul Ishak (pic) as its CEO, with effect from May 13, 2024.

In a statement, the bank said Syahrul was previously the managing director and regional head of cash management, group transaction banking, at CIMB Bank.

Prior to that, he was the managing director and regional head of consumer banking at CIMB Islamic and head of cards acquisition and personal financing of consumer banking at CIMB Bank.

“His accomplished career in banking, marked by strategic leadership, transformational drive, and operational excellence positions him perfectly to guide the Bank’s continued growth and success.

"The Board of alrajhi bank Malaysia and I look forward to a strong collaboration with Syahrul as we build on the momentum we’ve established," said chairman John Roger Winfield.
