Fire outbreak at paint processing plant not a subsidiary of Kossan


PETALING JAYA: Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd has clarified that the fire at a paint factory in Meru Industrial Park, Klang on Monday will have no material impact on its financial and operations and its subsidiaries.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Kossan said the paint factory, Kossan Paint (M) Sdn Bhd (KP), is not a subsidiary of the company.

“KP is a related party of the company through Kossan Holdings (M) Sdn Bhd, a substantial shareholder of the company.

On Monday, it was reported that two buildings of KP’s paint processing plant were destroyed by fire.
