Cypark's LSS3 hybrid solar plant achieves initial operations


KUALA LUMPUR: Cypark Resources Bhd has announced its 100MWac Large Scale Solar 3 hybrid solar plant in Merchang, Terengganu, achieved initial operations on April 21, 2024.

The hybrid solar plants consist of 83MWac ground-mounted solar PVs and 32MWac of floating solar PVs.

In a statement, Cypark said the plant will transition to full commercial operations over the next two weeks.

Cypark executive chair Datuk Ami Moris said the group has undergone a substantive transition over the past 12 months to ensure the quality delivery of the hybrid power plants.

"The Jakel Group as the new major shareholder has successfully provided a needed boost of both capital and project management expertise, while our reconstituted board is doing the right things to ensure the long-term sustainability of Cypark Resources," she said.
