KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s leading credit reporting agency CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd and the airasia academy have joined forces to empower small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with the skills and proficiencies to succeed in the digital era.

The collaboration, which encompasses strategic business education in the realms of digital marketing and branding, as well as networking opportunities, is targeting 2,000 clients in the CTOS ecosystem to convert as potential learners with the airasia academy by the end of this year.

At an SME networking and edutech session at airasia academy’s training quarters here today, CTOS reintroduced its enhanced CTOS Verified service, which offers companies a mark of online credibility through the CTOS Verified Seal.

CTOS Data Systems chief operating officer (COO) Lee Shin Mei said the company’s embarkment on the CTOS Verified service would enable SMEs to explore the importance of technologies and digitalisation in their business.

"With the CTOS Verified service, companies can market their product and get their product out to a broader audience. That is what we intend to do with the airasia academy,” she told reporters, adding that about 30 SMEs have registered for the CTOS Verified service since it started last month.

In a statement today, CTOS Digital Bhd group chief executive officer (CEO) Erick Hamburger said training services are essential for SMEs to remain agile, competitive and sustainable in today’s dynamic business landscape.

"As we look to the future, CTOS is committed to providing a wealth of networking and learning opportunities through the CTOS Verified service which not only creates more opportunities for businesses but also underscores their credibility and trustworthiness to prospective clients, suppliers, and business partners,” he said.

Meanwhile, Capital A CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said education stands as the gateway to unlocking boundless opportunities.

"Since its birth, airasia academy has tirelessly worked to democratise education, offering accessible online and in-person courses that bridge the gap of digital economic needs.

"Through the partnership with CTOS, we anticipate equipping both CTOS Verified SMEs and the broader business community with the tools necessary to enhance their marketability and proficiency in tech skills crucial for the current digitally-led business landscape,” he said. - Bernama
