OCBC Malaysia customers can activate the OCBC kill switch via the mobile banking app

KUALA LUMPUR: OCBC Bank (M) Bhd customers can now activate the OCBC Kill Switch via the bank’s mobile banking app to immediately suspend their accounts and credit/debit cards if they suspect they have been scammed.

OCBC Bank was the first in the country to roll out the kill switch feature in December 2022 via its interactive voice response (IVR) service which can be accessed by calling 03-8317 5000 and pressing ‘8’.

Previously, they could only suspend their accounts through the bank’s phone banking IVR service, the bank said in a statement today. - Bernama
