TMC Life Sciences issues second show-cause letter to Wan Nadiah

KUALA LUMPUR: TMC Life Sciences Bhd has issued a second show cause letter to Wan Nadiah Wan Mohd Abdullah Yaakob that contains allegations that are different from the first show cause letter.

The first show cause was issued on Jan 29, 2024.

“The audit and risk management committee (ARMC) had carefully reviewed the written replies from Wan Nadiah to the first show cause letter, whereby ARMC had found and concluded that the written replies were generally insufficient to answer the allegations stated in the first show cause letter. The ARMC has reported its findings and conclusion to the board,” the company in a filing with Bursa Malaysia

TMC Life Sciences said the board will await the ARMC's findings and Wan Nadiah's response to the allegations in the second show cause letter before deciding on the next steps for the disciplinary process, including addressing the allegations from the first show cause letter and, if applicable, the second show cause letter.

“The board will make further announcements on this matter at the appropriate time,” it added.
