ONLINE employment company Jobstreet by SEEK is the leading job portal connecting job seekers and employers.

In line with the company’s mission to foster meaningful connections in the employment market, Jobstreet is set to launch its inaugural SEEK People & Purpose Awards on May 9 – a celebration of passionate and purpose-driven excellence in human resources in organisations in Malaysia.

The awards honour organisations and individuals committed to purpose-driven accomplishments – making a meaningful impact on employees, communities and society, and aiming to inspire and motivate the HR community towards positive change.

“What sets these awards apart is its dual recognition system, comprising both public voting categories and submission categories,” says Jobstreet Malaysia managing director Vic Sithasanan.

“This unique method ensures that excellence is acknowledged from multiple angles, incorporating both the voice of the people and expert evaluation.”

The public voting section will have nominees from 14 sectors, signifying an endorsement from the very audience employers seek to attract talent from.

It also shows the appeal of the organisation’s employee value proposition (EVP) and how they market the company to prospective hires.

Jobstreet has partnered with global market research company, Ipsos, for the public voting category – ensuring a high level of representation and credibility by leveraging on their market research expertise.

Moreover, the awards feature diverse submission categories, reflecting the multifaceted nature of HR excellence. These categories encompass various aspects of people management, including employee development; sustainable HR practices; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI); overall employer excellence, and leadership.

Such a wide range of coverage ensures that organisations and individuals excelling in different areas of HR are duly recognised.

Jobstreet’s localised approach in engaging with the community through initiatives like career fairs, free certifications, industry reports and virtual sharing sessions that add value to jobseekers and employers alike in the local market. Together, these operations foster an informed and competitive job market.

Additionally, Jobstreet’s mobile app has a free learning and community resource called Career Hub, previously known as SEEKMAX. It has content covering a range of topics to upskill, a platform to connect with industry leaders, and tools to help with CV and interview practice.

It’s important to note that besides the recognition they offer, the awards also provide companies with a benchmark set by exemplars in the industry and help them improve.

This fosters healthy competition and encourages continuous enhancement of HR practices across the market.

An esteemed panel of 10 judges, composed of respected leaders in the employment industry, will bring their wealth of experience and insights to assess submissions.

This includes representatives from the manufacturing, banking, insurance, health, finance and property development industries.
