Bursa Malaysia suspends short selling in SCIB, JSB and APB after sharp drop in prices

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia has suspended the short selling of Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB), Jentayu Sustainable Bhd (JSB) and APB Resource Bhd securities for the rest of the day under the intraday short selling (IDSS).

It was noted that the SCIB’s IDSS was also suspended yesterday.

"The short selling under the IDSS will only be activated the following trading day on Jan 18 at 8.30 am,” Bursa Malaysia said in a filing today.

At lunch break, SCIB shares fell 30 sen to 53.5 sen with 199.4 million shares traded, APB Resources slipped 41 sen to RM2.08 with 913,400 shares transacted and JSB lost 39 sen to 91 sen with 11.67 million shares changing hands. - Bernama
