MSM extends CFO's garden leave until Feb 15


KUALA LUMPUR: MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has extended the garden leave of its chief financial officer Mazatul 'Aini Shahar Abdul Malek Shahar from Jan 15 to Feb 15 or until further notice from the board.

“MSM will continue its business operations as usual,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.

The sugar producer added that further announcements shall be made in the event of material developments on this matter.

This is the second time MSM extended Mazatul 'Aini’s garden leave. On Nov 3, MSM placed her on garden leave effective Oct 20, 2023, until Dec 15, 2023 to facilitate an ongoing internal investigation. Subsequently, the company extended the garden leave from Dec 15, 2023 to Jan 15, 2024.
