Carlsberg gets licence for Sapporo


PETALING JAYA: Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd has entered into a licence agreement with Sapporo Breweries Ltd of Japan to brew and manufacture the Sapporo Premium Beer with limited exclusivity to sell, market and distribute the beer in Malaysia including duty free zones.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, Carlsberg added its subsidiary, Carlsberg Singapore Pte Ltd (CSPL) and Maybev Pte Ltd, a subsidiary to CSPL, have also entered into a distributorship agreement with Sapporo for a non-exclusive distributorship for the Sapporo Premium Beer and Yebisu Beer in Singapore.
